Substance Abuse Therapy

At Compadre Therapy, we offer comprehensive substance abuse therapy through both individual and group therapy options, creating a supportive, non-judgmental environment for clients on their path to recovery. Utilizing evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing, our program is tailored to help individuals understand the underlying causes of substance use, develop healthier coping mechanisms, and build a foundation for long-term sobriety. In alignment with the NASW Code of Ethics and inspired by Article 25 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, we uphold every client’s right to a healthy, fulfilling life, free from the constraints of addiction.

In individual therapy, patients work one-on-one with a dedicated therapist who helps them explore personal triggers, set goals, and develop personalized strategies to overcome cravings and maintain progress. For those who benefit from shared experiences, our group therapy sessions provide a supportive community of peers who understand the challenges of addiction and are committed to mutual growth. In the spirit of being a “compadre”—a trusted ally—our therapists guide both individual and group sessions with empathy and respect, fostering resilience, accountability, and hope on the journey to recovery. At Compadre Therapy, we walk alongside each patient as they reclaim their lives, rebuild their well-being, and rediscover their sense of purpose.
